Clinical Practice Committee
The Clinical Practice Committee expands CAHON’s outreach to community oncologists and assists in the organizing of the Community Oncology Forum. They are responsible for promoting fellow’s career planning in general oncology.
Shuang Fu, MD, PhD (Chair)
Shuang Fu, MD, PhD, board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. She received her medical degree and PhD degree from Beijing Medical University. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Nassau University Medical Center in New York and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Fu moved to Tennessee after graduating from fellowship. She is an Oncologist and Hematologist at Kirkland Cancer Center, Jackson, TN. From Cleveland Clinic to Kirkland Cancer Center, Dr. Fu develops deep doctor/patient relationships, currently serves as the Medical Director of Kirkland Cancer Center. In the spare time, Dr. Fu enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Joyce Huang, MD, PhD (Co-Chair)
Dr. Joyce Huang completed hematology/ oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute at Buffalo, NY in 2016 and since then she has been practicing as a general oncologist / hematologist at CCAY/Cancer Care Associate of York, Pennsylvania. Her practice focuses on serving the community while collaborating with tertiary cancer centers for clinical trials.
She graduated from medical school of Nantong University. She received her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular biology from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey followed with residency training at Saint. Barnabas Medical Center, New Jersey.
Yongli Ji, MD, PhD
Dr. Yongli Ji earned her medical degree from Tianjin Medical University and pursued her PhD in cancer biology at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Following that, she completed her residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts, and went on to a fellowship in the Hematology/Oncology division at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. Dr. Ji has contributed to various publications and authored book chapters covering a wide range of topics, including breast cancer, lung cancer, meningioma, melanoma, ovarian cancer, and sarcoma. Notably, she has been an integral part of the board of directors for NNECOS (Northern New England Clinical Oncology Network) since 2021. Additionally, Dr. Ji dedicated nine years of service to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Exeter Hospital.
Vincent The-Luc Ma, MD
Dr. Vincent Ma is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist. He received his medical degree at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) who specializes in melanoma and advanced cutaneous malignancies with an emphasis in early phase clinical trials. He is currently the Immuno-Oncology lead of the Early Phase Oncology Therapeutics Program at the UWCCC.
Dr. Zhan is actively engaged in patient care, research, and education, contributing significantly to the advancement of hematology and oncology both through her clinical practice and academic endeavors.
Fengming Zhong, MD, PhD
Dr. Fengming Zhong received her medical degree from Zhejiang Medical University (currently Zhejiang University School of Medicine) in China. She then obtained her PhD degree in Molecular Biology at Cornell University Graduate School of Medical Sciences (a combined program of Cornell University Medical College and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Cener at the time) in New York NY. She completed her hematology and oncology fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas. She has been working as a hematologist and oncologist at the VA New Jersey Health Care System. She is a clinical assistant professor of Medicine at Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School and a lifetime member of CAHON. She is board certified in hematology and medical oncology. Her main duties include clinical care of patients in hematology and oncology, teaching internal medicine residents, and clinical research. She has participated in multiple clinical trials as principal investigator and sub-investigator in hematology and oncology, especially in GI, GU, head and neck, and lung cancers.
